Petite Lune
Petite Lune was built in 2006 by Cantiere del Pardo in Italy. Her LOA is 16.98m, beam 4.83m and draft 2.9m. She weighs 21,000kg. We bought Petite Lune in July 2016 in England, becoming the third owner. She was moored in Hamble-le-Rice, a picturesque little village not far away from Southampton. She was in good condition and came with a lot of different sails. The only hideous detail was the colour of the upholstery: orange, which didn't go well at all with the Birma teak interior. In that year we sailed her as she was. But losing the radar top, we decided to put a new radar in, as well as new navigation and a new VHF. We also put in an extra internal heating system, new shower doors and of course changed the colour of the upholstery. Put in a washing machine, a small second fridge, new lighting, new batteries and a new inverter. After the 2017 sailing season more changes were needed or wanted. She had her mast and boom repainted and we replaced the stays. We bought a new jib as we started to lose bits of the old one. We installed a new watermaker and got an offer we couldn't refuse to buy two lithium ion batteries. We again changed the upholstery from fabric to artificial leather as white fabric was not a good choice.
At the end of season 2019 we can now say that Petite Lune is refitted. Due to the expected Brexit in January 2020 we decided to reflag her and we will be sailing under Dutch flag from January 2020.
